DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to running our annual Baltimore Cup Regatta for 1720’s and the Sloop regatta over the weekend of Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August. \nOnline registration for the Baltimore Cup can be completed here.  The entry fee of €60 can be paid online via our General Payments page  (please quote Boat name and Baltimore Cup in notes).  The crane fee of €120 for lifting in and lifting out is payable to the crane driver upon lifting in. \nPlease submit a complete list of boat crew to baltimorescoffice@gmail.com by 1700 hours on Friday 30th July.  The crew list must contain name/mobile number and email address. Failure to submit this list will result in the boat scoring DNC. \nNotice of Race can be found here. \nSailing Instructions can be found here. \nResults can be found here. \nAmendment 1:\nThe race committee may at their discretion choose to sail 4 races on day 1 of the regatta. \nThe overall regatta schedule of 6 races in total will not be exceeded.

DESCRIPTION:Update 19th September 2020 – now to be a regional event “1720 Munsters” \n1720 Nationals Announcement: Due to the recent government announcement\, the organising authorities (MBSC & BSC) have made the decision to downgrade the 2020 1720 Nationals Championships to a regional event\, the “1720 Munsters”.\nThe event schedule will be amended to a two day format – Sat 26th & Sun 27th September.\nNew NOR is now available on the link below.\nUpdate 4 September 2020 – Change of Location to Cork Harbour \nAfter reviewing the current government guidelines and seeking guidance from the local businesses in Baltimore\, we as a committee feel that we cannot provide the same level of racing and entertainment as experienced in the Baltimore Cup this year. We are saddened to make this announcement but look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Baltimore in 2021. \n \nAfter discussions with Monkstown Bay Sailing Club\, we have agreed to run the event in Cork Harbour on the same dates – 25th\, 26th\, 27th September 2020. This will be done as a combined effort between the two clubs as we are both of the opinion that the event should not be cancelled this year provided we can run it in line with the Covid-19 government guidelines. \nResults \n  \nNotice of Race – 1720 Munsters \nSailing Instructions \nAmendment No. 1  \nOnline Entry Form – 1720 Munsters \nHealth Declaration Form – to be completed by all competitors. \nWhatsapp Invite – 1720 Munsters participants \nMonkstown Bay Sailing Club website. \nLift in will take place on Friday 25th Sept from 9:00 – 17:00 and in Salve Marine\, Crosshaven next to the Royal Cork. Boats will be lifted out immediately after racing on Sunday if required. SUMMARY:Laser Munster Championships 2020 - postponed
DESCRIPTION:Update 15th March – \nIrish Laser Association and Baltimore Sailing Club have decided that it will not be possible to hold the Munster Championships in compliance with current advice issued from HSE. It is not possible to run an event of this size and comply with separation protocols on the shore.  Although these are currently in place until 29th March\, the Irish Laser Association and ourselves have taken the decision now to postpone the event\, giving everyone as much notice as possible. \nDetails of the rescheduled event will follow in due course. \n______________________________________________________________________ \nBaltimore Sailing Club is delighted to announce that the Laser Munster Championships will be held in Baltimore on April 11th and 12th\, 2020. \nThe Munster Championships are the first Irish Laser regional event of 2020 and a large number of sailors are expected to compete.  Online entry will be via the Irish Laser Association website – members area.  \nWe look forward to welcoming all sailors and their families to Baltimore over the Easter holidays. Full details re accommodation etc can be found on the Irish Laser Assoc event page. \nNotice of Race will issue shortly.

DESCRIPTION:The Ropedock 1720 National Championships will be hosted by Baltimore Sailing Club on Friday 30th August\, Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September. \nNotice of Race \nEntry Form \nSailing Instructions \nSI Amendment No 1 \nResults \nLaunching – boats will be launced from 1530 hours until 1900 hours on Thursday 29th August. €60 will be charged for lift in and out and is payable at registration in addition to entry fee.  Boats that travel from outside the Republic of Ireland for the event will have free launching/recovery. \nRegistration will be from 1730 until 2100 hours on Thursdsay 29th August.  Crew weighing will take place at the same time as registration and will be carried out to complete crews one at a time. \nThere will be a barbecue on Saturday night 31st August with the prizegiving after racing on Sunday 1st September.

DESCRIPTION:The Adult Sailing course will be held from Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th July\, 2019 in two course sessions (morning course and afternoon course).  The courses are run aboard the Club 1720 sportsboat and a Laser Stratos. \nThe morning sessions will be 1030 hours to 1300 and afternoon sessions will be 1400 hours to 1630 hours. \nThe course cost is €120 members and €150 non members.  If you are interested in attending one of the above courses please email your name and which course you would prefer (morning/afternoon) to courses@baltimoresailingclub.ie. \nWhen a place is confirmed you will be asked to pay the course fee via our online payment system on our website.  All levels of experience are welcome. \nWe look forward to seeing you on the water this Summer.

SUMMARY:July Lousy Cup
DESCRIPTION:The July Lousy Cup Youth League will commence tomorrow Saturday 6th July\, 2019.  The classes are – Topaz\, Laser 4.7\, RS200’s and All In.  Participants of the sailing course who are capable of racing are encouraged to do so. \nEntry Forms are available from the Club.  It is important that sailors arrive early tomorrow morning (at 9.55am sharp latest) to fill in forms\, rig boats and attend the briefing.  The first gun is at 1055 sharp.  Racing is each Saturday morning from 10 until approx 1230/1300 hours. \nBoats racing must have identifiable sail numbers or their finishing positions will be penalised (see sailing instructions posted on the Club Noticeboard).  Speak to the boat stewards about where to get sail numbers if you do not have them. \nSailors and parents should read the Sailing Instructions on the notice board which include the minimum insurance requirements and other information. \nHope to see you all there for an enjoyable morning of sailing.  Prizegiving will be held on the final Saturday of racing (27th July) at 1730 hours in the clubhouse. \nSailing Instructions

DESCRIPTION:The Club is running an Irish Sailing Safety Boat Course on the 22nd/23rd June next. \nThis course is designed for those seeking to improve their competency in the sport and focuses upon areas such as escorting racing fleets of dinghies\, windsurfers and canoes; providing safety and rescue cover for training fleets and assisting in race management duties. \nParticipants must hold the National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2) and it is strongly recommended that a short range (SRC) VHF radio operators certificate and First Aid certificate is also held. \nThis course is run over two full days and bookings are being taken by Sheila O’Sullivan (086) 8699628.  Places are limited so if you are interested please contact Sheila today!. \nFull course syllabus and modules can be found on Irish Sailing website here.
