Irish Sailing Courses

Our core sailing courses are accredited by Irish Sailing, and offer a path to learning sailing skills that will last a lifetime! This year, we are running three two-week courses over July and August:

  • 1st – 12th July
  • 15th – 26th July
  • 6th – 16th August (Inc. Sat 10th)

Please note:

  • In order to apply for one of these courses, you must complete the pre-requisite course, and have that course fully signed off in your Checklick sailing passport.
  • When applying for courses at the level of Improving Skills and above, it is important that the sailor has logged some sailing time following the previously completed course in order to consolidate the skills learned. A sailor moving directly up to the next level without having sailed since the previous course will find it difficult to achieve the required standard needed to pass the course assessment.
  • While having your own boat is advantageous for Start Sailing and Basic Skills, it is not compulsory. Boat shares can be organised, and there are a limited number of boats available to rent.
