Baltimore Regatta takes places this August bank holiday weekend. There will be entertainment on land and sea as the beautiful West Cork coastal village hosts it’s annual regatta. On Saturday and Sunday there will be sailing in the harbour for both dinghies and cruisers including the local fleets of sloops and 1720’s both of which have expanded over the past number of years. The 1720’s will be competing in the Baltimore Cup which runs over Saturday and Sunday and previous article here outlines the details.

On Bank Holiday Monday 6th August the main regatta takes place. The schedule is as follows:-

First Gun

1130 All in Dinghy

1300 Cruiser Race (Bushes Bar Perpetual Cup)

1400 Wooden Boat Race (Jolie Brise Cup)

1415 Sloop Race

Registration at Bushes Bar. Racing starts and finishes in Baltimore. Prizegiving will be in the square in front of Bushes Bar after racing on Monday afternoon. There will be live music and hopefully no rain!.
