It was a fitting end to a great season of racing for the Heir Island Sloops last Saturday as beautiful conditions welcomed sailors afloat to compete in the final three races. The full results for the Autumn League can be found here.
Many thanks to Colette O’Flynn and her race management team together with mark layers and safety boat drivers who ran racing/assisted throughout the season.
Despite the uncertainty earlier in the year due to the pandemic the sloops got their World Championships raced in August with full report/results found here. The fleet also raced a July and August League with lots of tight racing sometimes even between fathers and daughters!.
It was wonderful to see new faces join and some faces rejoin! the fleet to enjoy racing each Saturday. Photos from the season can be found on the website in the club gallery.
