You should have completed the Improving Skills course and been sailing regularly to do our two week Advanced Boat Handling course.
This is a fully comprehensive advanced course, designed to train you in the fields of rigging, tuning your boat to maximise performance, getting the best out of your boat in planning conditions, maximising boat speed in waves, and generally improve your overall speed and sailing know-how. It will also prepare you to sail flat out in strong winds!

Our hugely popular Adventure Skills course introduces you to the skills and knowledge you will need in order to undertake longer trips and to sail in stronger winds. If you have got to grips with basic skills in light-moderate winds and now want to move on and develop your boat handling, seamanship and confidence, this course is ideal. Plenty of time spent on practical hands-on sailing. We will also cover all relevant theory such as basic navigation, tides, safety and weather. This two week course will prepare you for the specialist courses ahead.

During this two week course, we concentrate on boat handling and seamanship skills.
