Last Saturday saw a misty morning greet sailors for the second week of the Lousy Cup. Fifteen boats with over 20 sailors took part and OOD Philip O’Connor got the fleet to complete two races. Results can be found here and photos are here. Well done to all the sailors who competed.
In the early afternoon the weather brightened and six 1720’s took to the water to race. Colette O’Flynn and her team got three races away under somewhat shifty conditions with the results available here. Ben Cooke on Smile n Wave took the first win of the day. The Hegartys Boomerang efolioaccounts took the second win with Tom Hegarty at the helm. The third bullet went to Two to Tango – Peter O’Flynn. The overall league leader is currently Spiced Beef – Lydens which was helmed last Saturday by Florence Lyden.

Junior Summer Sailing – Clinic 2 continues this week for the level 4 sailors with a beach day in mediterranean type sunshine taking place on Tuesday. Clinic 3 will commence on Monday 3rd until Friday 14th August (2 weeks) for all level 3 and 4 standard sailors. If you sailor is interested in please contact Sheila O’Sullivan by Friday 24th July.
Those that ordered club merchandise before July 9th will be able to pick up their order from outside the clubhouse today between 4 and 5 pm. Dee Griffiths has some stock (items posted on BSC Facebook last week) should you wish to come down and buy an item. Club buffs can now be pre-ordered from our online store.
