There is an Irish Sailing Safety Boat Course (2 full days) on the 21st/22nd September hosted by Fastnet Marine Outdoor Education Centre, Schull and run by Mark McCarthy.  There are a few places remaining on this course.

This course is designed for those seeking to improve their competency in the sport and focuses upon areas such as escorting racing fleets of dinghies, windsurfers and canoes; providing safety and rescue cover for training fleets and assisting in race management duties.

Participants must hold the National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2) and it is strongly recommended that a short range (SRC) VHF radio operators certificate and First Aid certificate is also held.
